An ISM Modeling of Barriers for Blockchain/Distributed Ledger Technology Adoption in Supply Chains towards Cybersecurity

Over the last few years, increasing level of cyber risks derived from growing connectedness Industry 4.0 has led to emergence blockchain technology as a major innovation in supply chain cybersecurity. The main purpose this study is identify and rank significant barriers affecting implementation key component risk management (CSCRM). This research relied on “interpretive structural modeling (ISM)” technique structure hierarchical model investigate contextual relationships identified challenges for adoption CSCRM; it also classifies influential based their driving dependence powers. results highlight that “cryptocurrency volatility” challenge at top hierarchy, implying weak power but strongly dependent other challenges. “Poor regulatory provisions”, “technology immaturity”, “dependent input information external oracles”, “scalability bandwidth issues”, “smart contract issues” are located bottom hierarchy with higher power. implications theory practice highlighted.
